Past Continuous Tense is the unbroken part of tenses. This tense aids us to know the work or action running in the past. Past continuous is used to express the feeling the same as present continuous but the only difference is time. Past continuous is obviously referring Past.

Negative

Sub + was/were + not + v1 + ing + object.

Interrogative

Was/Were + sub + v1 + ing + object?
Example ──
Was mohit thinking something for dinner?

Interrogative Negative

Was/Were + sub + not + v1 + ing + object?
Example ──

Double Interrogative

W/H family + was/were + sub + v1 + ing + object?
Example ──

To denote an action going on at some time in the past.
Example ──
I was playing yesterday.

For persistent habits in the past.
